Riverbend Farms

Can you hear the whine?
Please read with a Southern drawl accent: "Hey Haley! Watch these fish! Their eating my spit!"
It's so funny listening to little Brittany talk!(this is exactly what she said too.)Coming out from the coolest slide in the world. It was made out of big plastic pipe coming down from the silo they no longer use. It was fast and fun!
The " playground," Riverbend style.

Lazy Five Ranch

The kids that attended the Lazy Five Field Trip

Lazy Five Ranch

Feeding the giraffes was our favorite!!
Jordan would've been fine if I'd left him there!
Jackson was more of the nervous one.
Meghan and Haley shared their bucket and were able to pet him too.
These kids disobeyed the instructions to not touch the zebras. They are lucky they didn't lose a few fingers or get a bite taken out of their hand as they had happen to one kid that didn't listen.

Lazy Five Ranch

The kids had the time of their lives feeding all these animals!
Jacob was happy unless the wagon stopped in the hot sun.
Meghan(Haley's good friend) Haley, Jackson and Jordan.

Snow Play, Everyday

The kids loved the snow and wanted to stay outside the whole time. Oh how I wish we were lived up north again!!!!

The Beginning of the Wrestling Match...

Uncle Tim Gets in on the Action....

These pictures were taken just a few days before our Beniah had his accident and also was one of the first days of my illness. Just another reminder of how we are not promised tomorrow and always need to live our lives as if it were our last. Life is but a vapor and how thankful and blessed we are to have been at the Lord's mercy and that He saw fit to let us keep Niars.

A Good Day~

Abbey and Haley squeezing in as much as they could together.
Jacob whacking away at Uncle Fred with a very loud pirate sword. By the end of the day, Fred was begging for mercy :)

Intermission in the baseball game~ Karly, Jackson and Jordan
The three beautiful girlies~
Karly and Abbey tried to smuggle Haley into the back seat when they were getting ready to leave. They weren't ready to part.
If only we could have more time, more visits and more fun. We had a really good day together and I'm thankful for the time we did have.
Fred, Jody, Dell and I went for coffee the next morning and had more great fellowship. We'll always cherish those times together and look forward to more down the road.

And the Order Went...

.... Jackson the mixer, Haley the chopper, Jordan the flipper and last but most important, Jacob the taster.....

The Kitchen Help

When we were in Southport, we got these apron sets at the dollar store. After arriving home I put off going to the store for a few days. These are pics from one of our "make whatcha got" suppers~ Peach pancakes. We had fun , needless to say , but we ate a little later than normal. (I'm gonna go out on a limb and say its b/c we had too many chefs in the kitchen:)
There's never a dull moment in our household! ( just the way I like it!)

The First Rain

The first rain after months of not seeing any, brought great excitement (and a quiet house)
on Monday. The kids played outside in the torrential downpour and we could hear them from inside laughing, shouting and a chorus of "Watch this guys!"
I used to love playing in the rain when I was a kid and if I hadn't been in the middle of several things, I would've joined them. Next time I will.

The Beauty of A Child's Faith

I had to stop everything I was doing to share with you just how amazed I am at this very moment.
The beautiful little girl the Lord has so graciously blessed me with, just blew me away with something she shared with me.
We had gone to a birthday party today, and she received a small diary with a lock. She has a notebook journal,(we use to write in for school) but she has never shared the desire to have a "real" diary and we have never bought one for her. She was so very excited about it! She has been in and out her room all day and has been writing in it.
I felt like I should remind her that the Lord sees, hears and knows everything and asked her to always remember that when she is thinking or writing in her diary. So we had a nice conversation and we both went about our business.
A little later, she came and told me that she wanted me to read what she wrote on the cover of her diary,( you know the inside of the hardback) but to" Please not to look at the pages. It's privacy." So I read what her innocent, beautiful heart wrote. (this is word for word including the spelling.)

" I am not perfec but the Lord God is evrything. I will never forgit that and one day I will go to heven."

That has touched my heart so deeply. I am overwhelmed with joy that she has loves the Lord with her heart and mind. I am humbled to know that we have such an awesome responsibility for molding this young, innocent little soul.
I love this little 7 1/2 year old girl so much and am proud to be her mother !!!!
