The community we have here is awesome. Even though people come and go every year, by investing in these friendships and sharing our life with them for the few months they are here, we are better people for knowing and growing with them and will cherish their friendships always. I still have to get used to the saying goodbye part, because I'm not too good with that.
I feel so incredibly blessed to live here, at HoneyRock Camp, sharing life with amazing people that love God and go beyond themselves to make an eternal difference for others.
What better way than to be surrounded by them to start a New Year?

Christmas Day Activities 08

Lots of eating of yummy food.... this caramel apple pie being just one of them.
The other delish foods were....
Prime Rib Roast, Smashed Potatoes,Green Bean-Califlower Salad, Steamed Asparagus with Lemon Parmesan Dressing, Stuffed Mushrooms, Whole Wheat Stuffing, Deviled Eggs, Fruit Salad, Beer Bread and Pumpkin Dump Cake.... Whew!! I really wish I'd taken a pic of the spread but I was a little busy and didn't think about it until it was too late.( Dell's mom took this pic because she loved this pie.) It was alot of food, but we had plenty of mouths to eat it all. Our family and Dell's mom, our friends, Scott and Anne Eppler joined us with their kids and Annes mom and then we all ate the leftovers again the next day. It was all really good and the company just made it even better. We love sharing our table with others.

We walked around camp. This is inside the heritage center. It's so fun and interesting to look and read about the camps 50 year old history.

Snowball fights. Here Jackson and Matt are throwing huge chunks of snow at each other. Matt and Emma are GPA's that are here until the end of Aug. They just got married the end of Oct. and decided to just stay at camp and spend their first Christmas together, away from family. We spent a ton of time with them Christmas week and we had a blast getting to know them and forming a friendship with them.

Emma, building a small snow thing, ( it by no means resembled a snowman) with Haley, Jordan and Sam Eppler. They had tons of fun even though the snow was not working with them.

The HR Christmas broomball team! We had so much fun playing with the kids and getting out of the house. We might just have to make this a tradition!

Christmas Morning 08

Jordan LOVES anything cowboy these days. So, he received chaps and spurs for Christmas.
Haley and Jackson opening a math game.

Jacob is following in Jordy's footsteps... junior cowboy!

Wii games and Anne of Green Gables movie from Namaw and Grandpa... big hits!!

"This is Sheriff Jordy! Come out with your hands up or else!"

Christmas Eve

We played outside much of the day. It was beautiful and not too cold. Perfect!
The sun going down at the small tubing hill.

The kids and I after our last time down Ski Hill. (the big tubing hill)
We made a tube chain and went super fast, which consequently, made snow spray all over us at the bottom... very fun!!

I found this card from Haley to Dell and I on our tree and I had to capture the memory! What precious moments my children create for us on a daily basis!

Opening their indoor hockey set before bed..... it was crazy fun and thankfully, no one had to go to the penalty box !!!

So my blog's a little bland.... I know...

....waiting for my wallpaper company to get their website back up and running. I just got sick of looking at "Happy Holidays." Hopefully we''ll have a new fresh look soon!!
