school day snapshots

Haley sitting at her desk. She keeps hers pretty tidy. Jackson on the other hand....well... sometimes it looks like a bomb went off on it.

We have a Canadian,U.S. and world map that cover one wall in our "school room." We use them multiple times per day. My favorite is the nice Canadian map....... because we got it at the dump in Canada!! I love the dump in Pickle Lake. You can get some pretty awesome stuff there....

This is Jackson.... all day.... every day. He's silly, he's funny and I love his personality.
(remind me of that tomorrow when I want him to sit still while we work on multiplication.)

I love this picture....he's thinking so hard and sitting so still! He's so smart too... but when only in his third month of kindergarten, they were trying to tell me he had problems with direction and paying attention. Whatever! He just didn't fit their "normal kid" mold that they wanted him to fit into. So go ahead, check out my"problem student" 2nd grader now.... he's almost finished with 3rd grade math!!! Man... I think I gotta go pinch and kiss those sweet cheeks of his now!!!

Friends a plenty.....

Some of the guys came over the other night to play a game with the kids. This was the longest game of Trouble ever!! It must have lasted at least an hour. They all teamed up with one of the kids. I can't recall who won, but great fun was had....
My kids are very blessed to be continually surrounded by positive role models that really enjoy spending time with them. They love gaming with them and Haley has even learned how to knit from some of the girls. I am so excited about this and can't wait to be taught myself!

Jordan and John were a team and just sent some others back home.... as you can tell, Jordy's pretty happy about it. What a great time they had that night! It was a late one!

Jonathan, who worked here this past summer was up a few days ago and my boys were so happy to see him. They really connected with him this past summer and here, Jordy was welcoming him back with a huge hug. Jonathan wrestled and played with them for awhile. I actually was able to go upstairs and clean the bathroom without Jacob trying to get in on the toilet scrubbing!! It was great and they're so excited cause he'll be back this summer too. That means alot more ultimate frisbee play for Jackson!
